One thing that has been mentioned over and over again as a protection against infection by COVID-19 is washing your hands. Some might not have been that diligent in the past about washing their hands, but now they are scrubbing down like everyone else. Since we might touch contaminated items, doorknobs, or shopping carts when we are out and about, it is really important to have a good routine of washing your hands.

You should also clean your home very well with a disinfectant that can kill the virus. The most common ones that are available to homeowners are Bleach, alcohol, or EPA registered disinfectants. These should be used on any frequently touched surfaces of your home such as faucet handles, doorknobs, and light switches to mention a few. You should especially do so after leaving your home or receiving some type of delivery since these areas could become contaminated.
