Do you have smoke detectors in your home? Most homes do, but sadly, not all of them are installed correctly. And what is even worse, some of them are installed but don’t have a battery in them, rendering them useless. Unfortunately, it is all too common that a smoke detector that is beeping because of having a low battery will have its battery removed instead of replaced. This is very dangerous since it can deceive you into thinking that you are safe when in reality you are not.

Smoke detectors should be installed outside of every bedroom in your home, as well as near anything flammable that is stored in places such as in basements or attics. You also have a smoke detector on each floor. While all this might seem like overkill, there is never going to be a time when you have a fire and feel like you had too many smoke detectors installed. An early warning could save your life!
